Weekday Meals

So in my effort to feed the girls more nutritional meals I've been taking pictures of it to document it on the internets. I feel like since I know they will go on a blog post they need to look pretty lol even though maybe like 1 person reads this blog.

Anywho I give you this weeks meals:

Monday I did not feed them dinner.

Tuesday-Crock pot sausage and chicken, brown rice with small amount of soy sauce, roll and fruit. Like I've mentioned before little bee doesn't like fruit or veggies so we still give her fruit pouches.

Wednesday-Grilled cheese, hot dog (Hebrew Nation 97% fat free if you must know), and fruit.

Thursday-Corn dog, Mac and cheese, and fruit.

Friday-whole wheat pasta and sauce, roll, green beans and fruits.

This week for some reason I was feeling uninspired and tired. I realized I feed them a lot of sausage product but one week won't harm them. As you can see they eat a ton of fruit and little lady LOVES green beans but I try not to make them too often so she won't get bored.

Anyway I'm still looking for dinner/meal ideas! If your kids have a favorite let me know!

Adios! Thanks for reading!

Meals...

...the struggle is real.

Feeding 3 kids is a struggle, I'm not a "real" parent but if saying "stay in your seat!", "take.a.bite.", "you will not get fruit snacks, snacks or dessert if you don't eat" makes you a parent then I am a full certified parent!

Lately we have been struggling with dinner time. And when I say we I mean me. I feed the kids breakfast and lunch 5 times a week and dinner 4 times a week (this week it was 5). 99% of the time it will only be the girls, since little man is at his moms during the week.

A couple weeks (months?) ago I tweeted and facebooked and I think I might have even asked about it via this blog for help. Help with ideas for meals, I got some good feedback from Facebook but it wasn't much. So I've been trying to make an effort with dinner. Here is the menu for this past week:

Monday-
Baked meatballs, steamed broccoli, soy sauce to dip the broccoli and plain pasta.

Tuesday-
Sausage cooked in the crockpot, fruit (apples and blueberries, fruit pouch for little bee because she refuses to eat any kind of veggie or fruit) and brown rice.

Wednesday-
Whole wheat pasta with sauce and meatballs, rolls and fruit (mango)

Thursday-
Beef hot dog, ketchup to dip hot dog, fruit (pineapple and blackberry) and Mac n cheese.

Today, Friday-
Plain whole wheat pasta, Dino chicken nuggets, ketchup for nuggets, steamed broccoli and soy sauce to dip broccoli.

What do you guys think? I'm trying! By Friday my brain hurts! But I'm making an effort!
Also how cute are those plates!? Target dollar aisle find!

Any suggestions? What do your kids like eating? Should I try to make veggies a different way?
Like I mentioned above Little bee refuses to eat any kind of veggies or fruit so we resort to those punches. Even though she doesn't eat the veggie or fruit I still put it on her plate.

Also side note, I'm obsessed with these veggies buffalo nuggets. They are seriously da bomb.com!

I have been eating them for lunch. I wrapped them up in butter lettuce and dip them in some light ranch....delicious!
P.S don't pay attention to the spring rolls, I was extra hungry today!

Anyway, the struggle continues...we will see how next week goes!

Stay safe! Adios!

Spring Break-without a break

So spring break for the school kids was this past week. Little man is of course then only one out of my 3 that goes school. This week he went out of town with him mom to Cancun. The girls of course have no idea what "spring break" so they didn't care but we took advantage of my friend being off to go on adventures everyday. It was honestly tiring since I'm just now getting over my respiratory virus.

Spring break week my bosses were living with my guy bosses parents, out in the country, because the floors were being done. Anyway so Monday we didn't do much, just hang out in grandmas house.

Tuesday we (my bff and I) took the girls to the Perot. Seriously if you live in the Dallas area please check this museum out, it really is top notch and worth every penny. I am fortunate that my bosses pay for a yearly family membership.

Wednesday we ventured out to chuck e cheese...with the rest of the families in the DFW area. The place was packed!! The girls have never gone so I was curious to see how they would do. It honestly wasn't bad, except the girls were terrified of the mouse! So much that little lady wanted to go home. Except for that the girls did awesome and the pizza there is really good! Little bug was a little obsessed, like a little old lady, to the Plinko game. She kept wanting to put coins in the machine, she couldn't get enough! "More peas more" We laughed so hard because in her first try, she won 100 tokens! She of course had no idea what was going on!

We ended up with 399 tokens and both girls got Frozen tattoos, plastic bracelets, some stickers and some other random trinkets.

Thursday we had an adventure day in downtown. We started by having brunch at a yummy place called Yolk. My friend and I had this in Chicago and we were so excited to know they were opening one here.

After Yolk we walked to the Dallas Museum of Art, where we participated in story time. The girls loved it! After the museum we walked to Klyde Warren Park and the girls really enjoyed playing in their tree house and jungle gym type thing.

We had a cupcake before leaving and the girls napped all the way home.
It was such a fun day! I was so grateful that my friend hung out with us, she is so good with the girls and the girls love her!

I'm happy to be going back to our normal routine this week.

So how did you spend your spring break?

That's it for now, stay safe! Adios!

Winter Wonderland in March, in Texas

That's right folks! We had about 3.5 inches of snow here in Texas, like actual fluffy snow!!
It was beautiful!

At the beginning it looked like nothing and a little sad but it piled up quickly and then it was wonderful!

Which then of course meant the whole city shut down. No school for the kids for a total of 3 days. We are from the south so we LOVE snow but we are afraid of it! We don't down own the proper shoes and tires and whatnot to be in it. Regardless it was fun and beautiful watching it fall and then we couldn't get rid of it fast enough :)

Anyway I'm battling a respiratory virus right now. I've had fever for about 3 days and a cough that sounds like bronchitis but isn't. So it's been oodles of fun. I'm going back to work tomorrow as I've been fever free for 24 hrs now and everyone at work is sick as well (I actually blame the baby, little B). I have a follow up with my Dr on Friday to make sure my lungs are still clear (fingers crossed) so that I can resume "any activity that resembles a work out" because apparently even going up stairs is a workout and I live on the second floor! BTW quick shout out to my Dr who is incredible!! I absolutely adore her and she really is the best Dr! If you live in Dallas please check out Dr. Stock,  although she's getting quite popular and i dont know how I feel about that.

So it's spring break here, little man is off to the beach with his mom and I'm too sick to do anything fun with the girls but I think we might venture out to the Perot tomorrow. Will try to take as many pictures as possible. Anyways hope all is well with everyone!

Adios!
